I started taking photographs back in school, when my dad gave me a basic Canon DSLR camera for my birthday. My first photos were of magnificent views of my hometown, St. Petersburg. I loved photographing buildings, and this passion determined my career as an architect. My classmates often asked me to take their photos. I didn't refuse, and gradually acquired the skills to photograph people artistically. My dad also often took me to our Zenit football team's games and to sports events involving cars. Of course, I always took my camera with me and photographed everything interesting I saw.
So, gradually, my photography interests diversified into three areas: "city," "people," and "sports and other events."
